This radio app is a wonderful idea, but it can be unreliable, buggy and a little hard to use. Streaming and buffering concepts are a bit difficult to fathom for this old-timer who is used to an actual radio rather than an Internet stream. There are some intermittent delays and chokes in the transmission of live radio broadcasts that mildly annoy me. Usually, I just pick my station, then turn the app on every morning as I get ready for work. Unfortunately at that time of day, a slight delay in streaming for the morning news can really throw me off my precise morning commute. I have to open and keep open a different big clock app to also let me know what time it is from a few feet away...really. (A clock embedded into the radio would help). It is a bit fussy powering off the radio: if I forget to stop it and close out the app rather than just shut my iPad off, it will spontaneously start blaring on its own later on in the day by some mysterious trigger. The layout is a challenge. Im really glad to have a radio on my device, but it isnt quite intuitive to me. My guess is that the interface could be simplified and made to look more like a car radio. I dont use all of its functions whatever they may be simply because I just dont get what they are.
